Money questions, answered
Do clients need an account to pay?
No. Estimates and invoices open as public links on any device — the client taps the link from an SMS or email, reviews the line items and pays by card. Accounts exist in the client portal for those who want history, but payment never requires one.
How do card payments work?
Through Stripe, built in. The payment lands on the invoice, the invoice status flips to paid on the job, and the office sees collected vs. outstanding without exporting anything.
Where do the prices come from?
From your pricebook: services, parts and rates maintained once, used everywhere. Estimates stop depending on which technician's memory wrote them.
Can we still take cash or checks?
Yes — record any payment method against the invoice manually. Card links are the default path, not the only one.
